Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
At SOL Christian Academy, we are committed to helping every child feel safe, valued and able to succeed. We provide personalised support for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Support may include individual learning programmes, one-to-one assistance, small-group teaching, pastoral care, sensory support and positive behaviour strategies. We work closely with parents, carers and relevant professionals to understand each child’s needs and review their progress.
We are proud that many pupils with SEND have joined our school and made significant progress in areas such as communication, confidence, independence, emotional regulation, behaviour and academic learning. Our nurturing environment, consistent routines and individualised approach enable pupils to overcome barriers and develop their strengths.
Our aim is not simply to support children in the classroom, but to equip them with the skills, confidence and character they need for life.
Every child is known, valued and supported to fulfil their God-given potential.
